I've heard about a procedure where my body fat can be transferred or injected on my under eye area for dark circles and hollowness. Is this safe, and will results be permanent?
Fat transfer under the eyes is effective and can be dramatic. However, the fat needs to be placed deep, next to the bone and can be lumpy if placed too shallow. Dark circles are often pigment in the skin or vascular congestion and not affected by change in contour with placement of fat. The eyes are the window to the soul and you generally get the best value for your money by creating a positive change there.

Fat transfer or grafting has slid into one of the lowest rated plastic surgery procedures on RealSelf. Under 40% of consumers say fat transfer was "Worth it". Why is this the case? Is there something wrong with the procedure, patient selection, doctor technique?
Fat transfer is very technique dependent and can be used in many different areas including the face, torso and buttock, the so-called Brazillian butt lift.
