Will a Breast Lift Make my Breasts Look Smaller, or Larger? Hi there, Almost two years ago after 3 back to back pregnancies i had my 275cc saline implants replaced with 375cc HP silicone. At the time I was afraid of the anchor scar so I did a donut lift instead. I'm now considering going back for the lift but I'm concerned my breasts will end up looking smaller. Im a 34DD in VS brand bras...Will I need a larger implant with the lift to keep my large size? Thank you:)

A: Breast lift should make the breast seem larger

The lift will take a lax breast and reduce and shape the skin envelope such that the available breast tissue is now contained in a smaller package. As the breast tissue is recruited and pulled into shape, much like pulling all the tissue into a bra cup, the breast will appear larger.

African American Worried About Benelli Lift Scar, What Can I Expect? In my reading the Q/A in realself, I came across a PS that said African americans should NEVER use an areola incision beacuse of scarring. this has really bothered me because i was finally happy that I didnt have to have the lollipop scar and I thought this scar would be much less noticable. I also have very large areolas and my PS is making them smaller. Please let me know if I will absolutely have terrible scarring or does it vary from cast to case. Also, 400cc too big for Benelli lift?

A: Breast lift scars for a dark skin tone

There are risks for hypertrophic scars and hyperpigmentation with a breast lift, and they can actually occur in all skin types, though as an African American we can understand your worry. The risk is not greater or less than with breast reduction, and we have a fairly broad experience which indicates the risk is present, though not for all, even with a darker skin tone. If the areola is very large, relapse or sretch is reduced with the vertical pattern. Look at many postings and photos of individuals like you to get an idea of how things have worked out for others.

Which Breast Lifting Technique Would Be Most Suitable? (photo) I have consulted a board certified PS & am in process of scheduling the surgery. Dr. has said for perkiest look go for a full lift w/ augmentation, and for a more natural look go with a donut lift w/ augmentation. Below are photos of the look I'm after & my own breasts. I know "perky" and "natural" have different definitions depending on each person. Which lifting would bring mine to the same position and shape? I know all breasts are different, I am simply going for that "style" in the pics

A: Which breast lift for you

The photo shows a breast not too much unlilke yours with greater projection and better nipple size. The vertical lift or lollipop patern will lift the nipple and reduce the size. Importantly it will reduce the lower laxity and give more projection just like the photo and should be the best lift for you.
