I Feel Like I Have a Pug Nose After Alar Reduction, Will It Improve in Time? (photo)

I had alar base reduction performed 5 days ago ( i know it' still early), and I'm still swollen. But I'm very concerned with the fact my nose now has an upturned appearance. It looks like the doctor pulled the edges of my nostrils too low, so now my tip is upturned. Can the swelling cause this? Or am I going to need to have my columula cut to make up the difference? Help!

A: Alar reduction at five days

It is so hard to tell after just five days, though the photo looks like you are off to a good start. Alar reduction alone should not cause tip rotation, so relax and let things settle.

Can I Elevate my Tip to Disguise my Hump Without Dorsal Rasping? (photo)

I am ok with my small hump, width of nose bridge from frontal view, nostirls & alar base.I want to change my droopy tip. It points downwards, nearly touching my upper lip when I smile.I will stay with my hump cause a rasping plus an osteotomy will cause me too much down time, cost is fine. Will a tip rotation disguise a dorsal hump to be lower? Can suture technique alone elevate my tip without cutting of cartilage and implant? What do you suggest for me? My surgeon will rasp hump & suture my tip.

A: Wait until you have time for rhinoplasty

Your tip is underprojecting and will benefit from a tip graft, though the nose may lack balance if the hump is not reduced slightly. You could work this out on computer to 'see' the cause and effect. We feel you will look better with the full rhinoplasty so a wait until you have time to recover is worth the effort.

Are my Breast Implants Way Too Far Apart? I'm 1 Month PO. (photo)

It's been one month since my breast augmentation procedure. I'm happy with the size and shape, though I would consider going slightly larger. Part of the reason I would consider going larger is in the hope that the gap between my breasts would be minimised. Changing sizes would cost a great deal of money, which I'm hesitant to go through with. Are there any alternatives? Do you think they are too far apart? Any honest advice would be greatly appreciated.

A: Implants are centered in the breast

You may have wider spacing on your chest, though the implants must be centered under the nipple within the breast envelope to look 'right'. Let yourself heal and settle in for six months or longer before you judge.
