I had botox injected about 10 days ago and now my left eyelid is drooping. I was planning to have upper eyelid surgury to remove some skin. Do I have to wait to have the surgury until the eyelid drooping from the botox corrects itself?
I would consider waiting until the effect of your botox resolves. The drooping of the eyelid is likely due to an effect on the eyelid muscle. The botox was probably done for your brow muscles and since this relaxed the brow it can effect the judgement on how much skin to remove from the eyelid during a blepharoplasty. When your muscles have returned to tone it may be a better time for your surgery allowing a better chance for a symmetrical result. I hope this information is helpful.
I had eyelid surgery on both my upper and lower lids and co 2 laser under my eyes 14 days a go. I am 48 years old.The upper lid above the incision is lumpy and a few bumps on the incision line. My left lid feels tight when closing on the outside edge of my brow line. I am a little worried that they will stay this way also that the Dr took too much off I don't want hollow eyes.
14 days is still very early. The eyelids are one of the best places on your body for a scar to soften and fade. Give it several weeks. The tight sensation aldo goes away. Ask your surgeon when you can start to gently massage the scars and this can help. I hope this helps.
I would like to have a laser blepharoplasty double eyelid surgery but is afraid over the healing periods. What will the effects be after one week?
Normal may take 3 weeks. It depends on how much you bruise as that usually outlasts the swelling. Pink scars may need some makeup fo another 3-4 weeks. I hope this info helps.
