I am 54 yo lady. I have done my face lift, eyes & neck in October last year and already 3 months now. All going good. I am satisfied and happy with the results. Just I still have a bit swollen/puffy on my cheeks (bottom). My question is: For how long does swollen will be gone and normal again?... Thanks for answer. Mrs HO Australia.
Swelling after a facelift is different for every patient; it's a bell shaped curve but typically, it lasts up to 6 months. Don't be suprosed for 100% of the swelling to last up to one year.
I am a 46 year old male had a facelift on Dec. 22nd 2010. After three weeks time, most of the swelling had gone down except for some numbness around the check area to be expected. However, I have excessive swelling and pulling forward and downward of my earlobes which looks like my earlobes are attached to my cheek. Is this normal for this time period and for this area? When i move my jaw side to said the earlobe goes with it. Will it retract? and is this excessive swelling normal?
This comes from not anticipating the amount of skin retractrion. That is why the earlobes appear more prominent after my facelifts. It is a dead giveaway that the procedure perhaps was done by a mildly experinced surgeon. For example, Paul Simon's earlobes have the similiar problem - unacceptable.
The facelift was two years ago. On one cheek, just below my cheekbone and along the path of the lift, a hollow channel has been inching toward the center of my face. The doctor has assured me that this was not a thread lift. The hollow is about 1.25" in width. The skin above it is taut and looks lifeless. The hollow keeps lengthening and it looks awful. What could be happening? And can anything be done to stop it and/or correct it?
Patterns of a facelift vary among patients. Most commonly, facial fat diminishes with age, with or without a facelift. Facelifts do not increase the rate of fat loss.
