How Long Does an Upper Eyelid Surgery Usually Take?
The doctor who is going to do my upper Blepharoplasty said that the procedure will take about 1 1/2 to 3 hours, and he is going to use a local. Is that right? 3 hours? Isn't that way too long? I've heard 1 or 2 hours at the most.
A: Eyelid surgery duration
I agree with all the other opinions. The surgery should take about and hour. If I was you I'd get a second opinion from another surgeon certified by the AMERICAN BOARD OF PLASTIC SURGERY. You can find one in your area. Three hours seems way too long, unless he/she wants you to "hang around" after the surgery to observe you prior to going home. I read your comment at the bottom, and you don't seem very confident in this surgeon, find another one.
