What determines the length of time for Sculptra to work? I have been reading that it brings results within a couple of months (http://www.sculptraaesthetic.com/consumer/how-does-sculptra-aesthetic-work.aspx) What are the factors that make this process shorter or longer?
Many factors effect the timeit takes Sculptra to work. Typically it takes 2-6 months. Individuals who have collagen that is easily stimulated because it has not been damamged by the sun, wind or chemicals can typically respond faster. I have seen dramatic differences in response rates in patients who use topical Retin A.
How Long Does Sculptra Take to Work?
Sculptra injections are not a filler so the results of the treatment are not immediate. It is important to understand that Sculptra works by stimulating your collagen to grow thereby creating volume restoration. Loss of facial volume creates sagging around the nose, mouth and jawline.
Hi, just wondering how long is the maximum you can wait between Sculptra treatments.. i have had one treatment 11 weeks ago. I am also nervous to go back for another because of all the negative information out there.. and i am especially worried about my face blowing up and looking like a chipmunk!! But just really want to know how long i can leave it before the first treatment will seem like a waste?
Most physicians prefer to allow at least 4 to 6 weeks between treatments to allow the sculptra to begin to work.
There is no harm in waiting longer. It simply means you will take more time to get to your desired result.
