Can the Pigment in a Mole Return After a Fotofacial?

I had a photofacial last month & the light took away pigment from a beauty mark. I was told the color could come back in time, it is still there just much lighter, I am very disappointed & was wondering if it will come back & if so the length of time it takes for pigment to return.

A: can the pigment in a mole return after a fotofacial?

Depending on the power received:Joules(Quantity of light) and Duration of the pulse (in miliseconds) the mole may lose pigment temporarily or  permanently.

Some years ago, I experimented with one of the first Intense Pulsed Light machines on myself and a dark mole completely and permanently disappeared from my cheek. Both my nurse and I were quite impressed.

It is important that you be treaqted by an experienced, Board Certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon

Can Photofacials Help Excessive Blushing?

I have very fair skin with an uneven pink complextion that is very prone to blushing. Sometimes the blushing is for no good reason at all and can last for an hour. Will a Photofacial help with the blushing?

A: Photofacial therapy may be used to treat blushing

Photofacial therapy may be used to treat blushing. The IPL light reduces blood vessels in the skin and therefore reduces the amount of blood going to the face when flushing or blushing.

No Results After First Photofacial?

I went in to the clinic for my first photofacial 3 days ago extremely nervous after reading other people's postings. I figured my face would turn bright red and my skin would start to flake off within a day or two. Although I didn't want this to happen for the short term, I did want to see results. However, nothing happened at all. No redness, no flaking, nothing. I have fair, pinkish skin. I paid a lot of money for 6 of these treatments. Is it possible I will not see any results?

A: Photofacial should not cause redness and peeling

Photofacial should not cause redness and peeling. These are signs of overheating of the skin and are not necessary for good results.
