I had perlane a week ago on my nasolabial lines and was concerned about formation of lumps. They were not seen but critically felt after the injection. So, according to some replies received to my previous query, these lumps should be massaged out. They are normal after a week or two, most doctors said (even though one of you said "not really normal"). However, after initial swelling, no bruises, it looks really beautiful, despite some lumpiness still there. Why should I massage them out?
As long as the collection of Perlane ("lumps") are not visible and they don't bother you, you don't have to massage them out. Eventually they will probably be softened by the natural processes in your skin. Even if not, they don't pose any threat to you and are not permanent. If you feel they are visible or they bother you, you may massage them out, although I personally like to massage/mold the filler in my patients myself, to make sure that the original correction is not reduced by too much massage.
I have pretty deep nasolabial folds. My injector has offered me my choice of fillers. I would prefer Perlane or Juvederm Ultra Plus, both of which he said would be good choices for me. (I don't really want to try Radiesse quite yet since that one can't be dissolved if I don't like the results). Which of those 2 fillers do most doctors think lasts longer? Does anybody have a good reason for preferring one of those over the other? I can't find any comparisons online. Thanks!
Both are excellent products with very similar applications, safety profiles, and duration.
What does Perlane packaging look like? Is it similar to Restylane packaging?
Perlane looks and acts similarily to Restyalne with Perlane being thicker and lasting longer than Restylane. Both are excellent products.
