I just had an infected nose implant removed . Am thinking of using restylane or Hyaluronic Acid Fillers to fill up the void while waiting for reverse nose surgery . IS that fine ?
This does not sound like a good idea. Fillers can get infected also and then you will have more problems. Wait until everything is resolved then discuss with your surgeon. Waiting at least 3 to 6 months would be best.
I've heard that Botox can be used to elevate the nose tip. Is this true? If so, how effective is it?
A Botox injection at the junction between the nasal septum and upper lip can slightly elevate the tip of your nose.
The procedure is quite painful, minimally effective and lasts a few weeks/ months.
The best effects are obtained with plastic surgery.
could an alternative to rhinoplasty such as injecting a small amount of steroid into the nasal tip to reduce the thickness of the nasal skin be possible. Or is there a way to defat the skin from the outside through laser? maybe c02?. Or an injection? I like the size of my nose, but when i touch it I can feel that the tip and sides are a bit thick in the skin.
If the skin on the tip of your nose is thickened from chronic Acne Rosacea (Rhinophyma), it can be reduced by either Laser Resurfacing or by the Ellman machine on Cutting/coagulation mode.
For mild cases, not necessarily Rhinophyma, Laser resurfacing alone can be effective. in many cases.
