How Do I Find the Right Doctor in Indiana for a Mini Face Lift?

I am looking for just the right docor in Indiana to perform a mini face lift

A: The right doctor for a miniface lift

As others have mentioned, make sure the surgeon you see is Board Certified in a specialty that is trained in the full range of facelift procedures (a Plastic Surgeon or Facial Plastic Surgeon). You want someone who can give you a complete evaluation and make recommendations that are tailored to your specific needs. You can start with websites for the following professional societies: the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Then, ask people in your community, including your own doctor, if they have any recommendations. Finally, use caution with any of the "franchise" or "chain" facelift clinics that have recently started - the level of care may not be what you expect. Once you find 2 or 3 surgeons that you trust, make sure they can explain to you why a mini-facelift (as opposed to a full facelift) is right for you. Keep in mind that a mini-facelift typically gives mini-results and is not appropriate for all patients. Therefore, make sure to discuss your expectations with the surgeon.

Lunchtime Face Procedures Worth It?

How much facial rejuvenation can I really hope to achieve in an hour or two before going back to work?  Are these so-called "lunchtime" min-lift procedures effective?

A: Lunch Time Procedures

The use of Botox and Facial Filler in appropriate hands can make a face look younger in minutes with little to no downtime.  The key here is an injector who understands facial aesthetics and can reshape your face in a more attractive and youthful manner.

Mini Facelift Vs. Full Facelift: Which is Best?

A mini lift sounds sooo much more appealing to me.  less expensive...less invasive...can get rid of my sagging skin and jowls. why would i opt to get full facelift surgery?

A: Minilift versus Facelift

Minilifts sound seductive in nature: shorter downtime, less invasive, less cost.  Unfortunately, facial aging is much more complex than what a minilift proposes.  Many minilifts are skin only procedures which can lead to poor scar formation and limited to no results.  My version of a full facelift offers the robustness of a deep plane lift  with limited downtime and avoidance of tension on incisions.

While there may be a limited role for minilifts which can lift the deeper tissues of the face, the vast majority of minilifts are ineffective and overhyped.  While it is easy to compare the economics of most purchases it is hard to do for plastic surgery procedures. It is almost not possible to compare saving a few dollars on a procedure which does not work versus spending a little more and getting a more impressive and natural result.
