Some doctors can do liposculture with tummy tuck at the same time but other say it's risky. I'm confuse, is safe to have lipo in the mid area at the same time of the tummy tuck?
Lipo can be combined safely in some areas like the hips. Other areas such as the upper abdomen could possibly affect blood supply to the skin with healing problems but in certain techniques can be done. Talk to your surgeon for your specific contouring needs. I hope this info helps.

Hi! How are you. I would be happy to help you out with your question! It is completely safe and sometimes even encouraged to have liposuction with a tummy tuck. Some patients are good candidates for only a tummy tuck when others will get a much better result having some liposuction with the tummy tuck. Liposuction is usually great for the flanks (sides of abdomen) or lower back and hips. Some patients only have a pouch in the front abdomen which would be great for only a tummy tuck. Which ever you and your surgeon decide are very safe. You can save money and downtime have them done together as well because you will only be having anesthesia once. Some patients even have their breasts done or face work done at the same time. Hope this helps!

There is a new facility in San Diego,Calif. They offer very competitive prices, such as $750.00 per area, which is all inclusive. Lipo of the Love Handles would cost ~$1,895.00. This is performed by a PA who's been doing them fulltime for the last 5 years. What are you thoughts on a PA versus a surgeon perfoming this precedure?
A Physician Assistant has only 2 years of training in all of medicine. Regardless of proctoring from a physician to train a PA to do liposuction this hardly compares with 9-13 yeras of education and training of a board certified cosmetic surgeon. Buyer Beware!!
