Will the Droopiness in my Upper Eyelids Area After Botox Go Away?

I had was given 20 units of botox 3 days ago for frown lines. They were given in the standard area for glabella lines. The area under my brows (upper eyelid) now seems to be saggy and puffy. I have little "hoods" of skin hanging over the outer corners of my eyes that didn't used to be there. Will this get progressively worse? How long will it take for this to start correcting itself? Is there any chance that the damage will be permanent? This was my first time ever using botox.

A: upper eyelid drooping is temporary after Botox injection in glabella

Silo, the lateral eyelid drooping you describe will certainly improve soon; it is unusual after injections in the glabellar area with this dose, and may be technique dependent. I would see your doctor to evaluate and discuss treatment with certain sympathomimetic eye drops, which may be helpful in the short run.

How Long Should I Wait After my Septorhinoplasty to Have Botox Injections?

I had a septorhinoplasty operation 3 weeks ago and I now wish to have botox and fillers in other areas on the face, how long should I wait

A: Botox and Fillers After Nasal Surgery

I would usually suggest you wait until swelling is gone. Your result with Botox and fillers will be most effective and predictable that way.  You should be at that point about now. I hope you are already pleased with your surgical outcome although you may continue to notice chages for the next several months.

Is Botox Safe To Use for Treatment of Frown Line If I've Had Bells Palsy?

I am 32 year old and I had a bell’s palsy around 15 years ago and still I have left with a few residual drooping in my left eye and eyebrow especially in cold weather. I want to have botox for cosmetic purpose in order to treatment my frown line, I want to know is botox injection risky for my face or not? Could it cause my problem to come back again? Is there another treatment for it?

A: Botox after Bell's Palsy safe if used judiciously

Botox can be used to correct or improve asymmetries after Bell's palsy, usually on the contralateral side. Residual weakness after Bell's palsy may be temporarily worsened by Botox, but spasm or synkinesis ( mass movements) can be improved with carefully placed injections. This has been a benefit to many patients.
