I see alot of pictures online were women have tummy tucks after weight loss but they are left with all the fat/lose skin that bulges above and around the vagina, making it look alot like part of a mans privates. To change that, Is there a different surgery? or is it something that is supposed to be included in the TT? Thanks.
Our current technique of tummy tucks will include the mons reduction routinely. The enhancement of contours here involves a low incision with upward traction that raises the ptotic (drooping) mons pubis and anterior labia majora. Be sure to ask about before and after pictures from your surgeon. More than just a visual change, I have had patients comment favorably on improved intimate satisfaction with the anterior position of the clitoral structures with this technique.
I will be traveling to Cuba 6 weeks before my TT. I will wear a 2 piece bathing suit and I tan quite easily. Will this cause a problem with my skin on my tanned abdomen when it is pulled down? Thanks, Foliebergere
A nice tan is actually helpful coming into surgery like a tummy tuck or liposuction. This can help me place your incisions strategically to hide them under your bathing suit. As mentioned in other posts, do beware of sunburn and the possibility of darker scars if tanning just before or for several months after your surgery.
Does It Happen to Everyone?
Many of my patients will find it difficult to stand up straight after a tummy tuck due to tight muscle repair and skin resection. However, everyone can walk erect after the first week or two and will usually be able to get back to the beach, gym, or strenuous activities by the third week and beyond.
