Can a Long Skinny Face Turn into a More Oval Face with Injections Put in the Right Place in the Face

Hi, I'm planing on getting injections into my cheek area to make my long skinny face more oval. Just wondering if it's possible to change the shape of your face with Radiesse? Thanks

A: Facial shapes

The oval or heart shapes are the most popular facial shapes.  Converting a long rectagle to an oval shaped face is possible with fillers, micro fat transfers, and craniofacial techniques for skeletal augmentation or bone reduction surgeries.  There are so many options today to address the bone, fat, and skin structures.  I suggest you discuss these parameters in depth with your surgeon to find the best fit to your structure, and the best techniques to consider that fit your schedule and budget.  The result should be "natural" with projected longevity, acknowledging that nothing is really permanent.

Radiesse Voice

I'm very intrigued about the Radiesse Voice injection. The company says radiesse helps with symptoms of vocal fold insufficiency: A low, raspy, or rough voice. Inability to speak above a whisper. Persistent hoarseness. Swallowing or breathing difficulty, especially if accompanied by ear pain. Coughing or choking when swallowing. Frequent throat clearing or the sensation that you have a lump in your throat.

Have you ever tried Radiesse Voice? Do you plan to provide it to patients?

A: Radiesse for vocal cord weakness

Radiesse is an excellent spot volume enhancer and works well in many areas by injection where volume is lacking.  This includes wide and varied applications such as vocal cord paralysis for hoarse voice, cosmetic enhancement of nasolabial folds, augmentation of bony anatomy of the face (nasal bridge, chin, or cheeks in my practice), nasolabial folds, and is even used for urinary incontinence and G-spot enhancement.

Your other symptoms do raise concerns about issues other than just vocal cord paralysis, and warrant referral for a complete evaluation by an otolaryngologist and speech therapist.
