My doctor is a member of the "American Society of Lipo-Suction Surgery" as well as an "American Association of Cosmetic School" associate. Does this mean he is board certified? I am having tumescent liposuction done this Friday and am just wondering...
The patient looking for aesthetic plastic surgery is often lost in a "buyer's beware" market. The validation of training and the integrity of their certificates is becoming more and more confusing. As my other colleagues have pointed out, the only nationally recognized North American certificate in plastic surgery is offered by the American Board of Plastic Surgery under the authority of the American Board of Medical Specialties. Beware of practitioners who claim this certificate, but are not confirmed by the Board. You can search for the practitioner at the link attached. Thank you for being diligent and doing your own research. I hope this may help you in your quest.
I am a healthy 47 year old female considering having the following cosmetic surgery procedures performed at once: 1. Gummy bear breast augmentation (from an A cup to a C cup) 2. Macslift and Eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty) 3. Full body power assisted liposculpture (under chin, upper arms, upper and lower abdominal area, mons area, hips, thighs and knees) How long would the total operating time be for these procedures and is it safe to undergo all these treatments at once?
You have described a marathon string of procedures that, in my opinion, carries too much risk to attempt in one stage. The length of anesthesia exposure shows an exponential increased risk after 6 hours and your surgeon will be operating under the stress of fatigue beyond that period. Even with multiple surgeons, the physiological trauma will tax your health unnecessarily. I suggest doing the head and neck procedures separately under conscious sedation to decrease your anesthetic exposure. The body work will require general anesthesia, but can be completed with your safety and best interest in mind. Please consider staging your makeover.
I had 4 areas done with the tickle lipo, only 1.5 liters total. My outer thighs have a weird bulge now. It's been 3 months. The bulge was not there before. My stomach & hips are smooth & look fine, but my thighs don't.Is it possible this can resolve over the next 3 months?
The reported cosmetic experience has noted that up to 22% of cases will require revision or touch up after a liposuction procedure. This is something that patients should be aware of when considering a procedure. Most times is a minor procedure and performed once the inflammatory phase has settled 3 to 6 months or more after the initial procedure. Your photo suggests this can be the case and commonly, revisions may be offered at no cost, or at nominal cost.
