Caucasian Eyes to Asian Eyes Possible? (photo)

I know there are surgeries for making asian eyes look caucasian, but is the reverse also possible? For example - making the eyes smaller overall and creating an epicanthic fold. For reference this is kind of what I'm going for

A: Ethnic eye transformations

It is a myth that we can make Asian eyes look Caucasian and vice versa.  On both sides, the goal is to make the eyes more pleasing in shape, with a natural balance to the underlying structure.  If one is seeking a trans-ethnic look, we have to consider a craniofacial reconstruction as well as risking the result that may not "fit" your other features.

Dissapointed in Answers from Surgeon - How to Find the Best Plastic Surgeon for a Man?

My husband is almost 40 and has very deep set eyes & is experiencing sagging eye lids, deep and numerous lines in his brow and eye area. Had a "consult" with MD, was told that a brow lift was out of the question as it would make him look too effeminate. A very slight bleph was possible, but he had to talk him into that. He basically acted as if the only option for men was Botox. This is becoming costly. My husband is disappointed & feels hopeless. Is this true? This is my MD, so I am angry.

A: Male Brow Lifts

Raising brows in men do have some technical differences to consider.  Where can the scars be best hidden when you consider possible future frontal hair loss?  Sometimes it is in a forehead crease.  How can we position the eyebrows so that the masculine features are enhanced? For men, it should not be much higher than the orbital rim.  Will the male prominence of frontal sinus projection interfere with the result?  This is a characteristic of men that should be maintained.  These issues are points of discussion with your surgeon, and don't ever accept a procedure recommendation until you are comfortable with your surgeon.

Does this look over-corrected?

I am meeting with my surgeon tomorrow and would appreciate objective viewpoints prior to discussion. My surgeon tightened levator muscles of eye on the left four days ago. However, eyes are now asynmetrical shape with much more pronounced in real life (i.e.bulging). The lift seems to be the right height but in the wrong position. There is still some swelling but I am not sure that will address this issue. Based on your experience, what would your evaluation be at this point?

A: Intentional over-correction is not an error

With eyelid levator corrections, a slight over-correction may be indicated as the muscle may have weakened, or the fascia attenuated.  The optic chiasm is an area behind the eyes that will adjust the lid margin levels to allow the correct amount of light into the pupils, and this will take some weeks or months to even out.  Please be patient to allow the post-operative swelling and position to stabilize before worrying about asymmetry that may be only temporary.
