Do They Put Fat Filler Under the Muscle in Face?

do or can they put fat filler under the muscle in face

A: Can fat fillers be placed under the muscles of the face?

Yes. Both fat grafts and other fillers are often placed under the muscles. We lose bone volume with aging as well as fat. Fillers are excellent for volumizing this loss. Also most fillers are best put under the muscles in the eyelid region, such as the hollows under the lower eyelids.

Is It Possible to Transfer Fat from Stomach to Buttocks?

If I get lipo in my stomach and underarms can I put that fat in my butt and thighs? How much would all that cost and can I finance it?

A: Can fat be transferred from the abdomen to the buttocks?

Most definitely, and this is called the Brazilian Butt lift, a procedure which is gaining in popularity. The gluteal muscles seem to atrophy with age and rear ends flatten and sag, A full buttocks is a youthful attribute, thus explaing the surge in frequency for the procedure. A relativfely high volume of fat is needed for the butt lft, so it is usually taken from the abdomen, sides back, legs, and anywhere there is excess fat. Hip roles occur with age, making this an excellent donor site.

The gluteal muscles have a rich blood supply, making fat grafts to the buttocks very successful in most cases. You must communicate well with your plastic surgeon, however, to determine the size that appeals to you. Note that in the female, the buttocks begins at the waist, unlike in the male. The shape should be smooth and sloping with no irregularities, such as the mentioned hip roles.

Where Can and Can't You Inject Fat on the Face?

Where can and can't you inject fat on the face? The doctor I recently consulted with told me that fat cannot be injected into the nose tip and chin because fat doesn't exist there.

A: Where is fat best injected into the face?

The most successful areas for fat injections are in the cheeks, under the eyes, the forehead, and along the jaw line.  Fat can also be injected into the upper eyelids. However, the most common problems are found in patients that have been injected around the eyelids. This requires much patience and skill to prevent nodules (lumps), which I have seen several times. Such nodules require surgical removal in most cases. Micro-droplets of fat must be deposited with special cannulas when injecting in these unforgiving areas. However, when properly performed, it is an excellent technique with very satisfying results.

I have not personally seen fat injected into the nose or chin, but I would expect the same micro-injecting technique should be used in the nose as the skin is so thin, particularly in the upper 2/3 of the nose.

The chin would be more forgiving, and fat is frequently injected successfully into the Marionette lines and lateral chin areas.

Regarding the eyelids, the same micro-injecting technique should be used with any filler as with fat grafts. Fortunately, when using a hyaluronic acid product, such as Restylane or Juvederm, any nodule formation can be reversed with an enzyme called hyaluronidase.
