Zoom Whitening Vs. Brite Smile

Which is better, Zoom whitening or Brite Smile? Which one lasts longer?

A: In-office whitening brands: Zoom and Britesmile

Zoom and Britesmile are brand names for in-office whitening procedures. Both use similar materials and take about the same amount of time. Both will also achieve similar results.

Zoom Whitening Work on Porcelain Veneers?

If you have porcelain veneers on two front teeth, can you use the Zoom teeth whitening? If not, is there anything one can use to whiten all of the teeth?

A: Whitening options if you already have veneers

Hopefully, I have good news for you.

If you have veneers on your 2 front teeth and want to whiten your smile, you may be successful using custom trays. Place the gel in the trays normally (so that the gel will touch the front surface of the teeth) for all teeth except the 2 front teeth. Place the gel so that it will touch the back of the 2 front teeth.

Veneers cover the front of the teeth and your natural tooth surface is still exposed on the back. The gel will enter the tooth through the natural tooth surface and whiten from the inside-out. The whiter underlying tooth should make the veneers appear whiter as well. I prefer using custom trays for this procedure because you can take small steps and if the neighboring natural teeth begin to get too white, you can try whitening only the 2 front teeth for a while. With Zoom, you may end up with a more uneven result.
