Q: Should I bring pictures of desired noses to rhinoplasty consultation?

I prefer video imaging of the patient to educate rather than a random photo. The photography is not with some value, but really is on a face with different features. There are mathematical proportions that define an attractive nose and these are plugged into the video imaging. Almost always, the patients like what they see.

As regards size, there are limits to what the surgeon can do. The skin envelope can only accommodate so much decrease in structural support. After this is begins to gather up an obscure changes. Again, I think video imaging and examples of real patients is an excellent way to get a patient to understand what is accomplishable.
