I Had fat transfer in my cheeks two weeks ago, result is O.K I wasnt to have some perlayne put in my chin area for volume,is it safe to do this now, the perlayne is not going to touch the fat in my cheeks.
This early after a fat transfer procedure you will almost certainly have some swelling. Placement of facial fillers will be most effective when the facial contours can be accurately evaluated in the abscence of swelling. For my patients, I recommend waiting at least 6 weeks for fillers after any surgical procedure, including fat transfer. The issue here is not safety (it is safe to use fillers in this setting, especially in a different location) but rather optimal aesthetic evaluation.
I had Perlane injected by end of December 2008 for my nasolabial folds. I developed trangular-shaped bulges on my cheeks, which also caused creases along my cheekbones. I looked pudgy and tired! The surgeon tried to fill lines first, but they turned blue. Yesterday, he injected Vitrase to remove it all. It looked a lot better a few hours later, but this morning, it looked even worse! What is going on? Am I now doomed to have these creases from the chubby triangles forever?
Perlane is a wonderful filler to restore facial volumes loss such as the cheeks. Perlane and any other hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved using a enzyme called Hyaluronidase. The blue discoloration is from injecting too superficially and can be easily reversed.
I had Perlane injected on marionette lines and it seems that they were overfilled or not done properly since I have a lump the about the size of my thumb next to my mouth. This was done about one month ago, and when I asked the doctor to try dissolving the lump using Hyaluronic acid, he said he had never used it before and would rather just put in more Perlane. Is there a problem with using Hyaluronic Acid? Would I be just making a problem worse?
To dissolve Perlane or any hyaluronic acid filler the doctor can inject a enzyme called Hyaluronidase. All hyaluronic acid fillers will dissolve giving the time.
