A mini lift sounds sooo much more appealing to me. less expensive...less invasive...can get rid of my sagging skin and jowls. why would i opt to get full facelift surgery?
Mini facelifts are best reserved for those who have minimal sagging skin and jowls. You’re right that the minimally invasive and less expensive nature of this procedure makes it more appealing. It also has a shorter recovery time than a traditional facelift. However, not everyone qualifies as a candidate for mini surgery. Make sure to discuss your facelift options with your surgeon during a consultation to determine your candidacy. For those who do not have major skin laxity around the face and neck, a mini facelift may be the perfect option.
I am 36, I gained and lost a significant amount of weight several years ago that led to excess skin. I have remained very trim the past several years, but due to genetics and the weight loss, my lower face looks like a hound dog's. My upper eyes were always a bit droopy, my upper face in general is fine, but below my cheek area sort of hangs. My brow, upper face, neck are great. I was thinking mini lift+upper bleph? I am worried about the neg mini lift comments.
Just saw a lady with a minilift and 3 revisions. She needs a full facelift and will get an excellent result. Most patients age synchronously and benefit by a thorough operation. I do one "mini" facelift for every 50 thorough lifts.
Sept 2007 I had a Light Lift where the surgeon cut in front and behind my ears and pulled the jaw bones up. This was in Houston. I have moved away from Houston and I have keloids in front and behind my ears and they itch and are sensitive. I have ask two dermatolgist what to do and they don't know. Please help me. Will the lumps just keep getting larger or should I try to find a plastic surgeon
Keloids are excessive growths of scar tissue that can become quite large. The can also produce itching. The usually occur in darker skin individuals and more often occur on ear lobes, chest and arms. keloids can be very tough to treat due there tendency to return. Some options for "LONGTERM" keloid management are removal plus the use of steroid injections. Medical grade silicone sheeting can be added to apply gentle pressure over the are to help to maintain flatness.
