Fat Transfer to Breasts

I'm looking to get a fat transfer to my breasts. My doctor says they can get me up 2 cup sizes ( I am about 5'4 107 lbs and 22 years old). They're going to be using UAL technique. I've been hearing so many different opinions and I just want to know the truth. I dont know what to do, I'm really stuck. I want larger breasts but if I can do it without implants, I'd be ecstatic. My biggest fear out of all of this is the results of the Liposuction (I don't want to end up like Tara Reid with all the dimples). Can someone advise me on this matter?

A: Fat transfer for Breast Enhancement

We routinely perform fat transfer to the breast in select patients for breast enhancement and correction of defects. It is also called Natural breast enlargement. The available literature on fat grafting to the breast suggest that it is a safe method of augmentation and correction of defects when performed by an experienced Board certified Plastic Surgeon. There are limitations. The best thing would be to consult with your Plastic Surgeon to see if you are a candidate for breast enlargement using your own fat.

What Are My Options For Fat Transfer Removal From Face? (photo)

I had fat transfer under my eyes/top of cheeks 2 years ago with terrible results. The area is uneven& lumpy, with hard little beads underneath. There are zillions of plastic surgeons in Atlanta. I thought the one I went to was skilled, but he ruined my face. I met w/ a top ps here. He thought the area looked "freaky" but would only recommend filler on the outer side to even things up. How do I find a ps w/ fat trans experience? What are the best options that won't make it worse?

A: Options for fat transfer improvement

Your photos do show an uneven result and you appear to be overaugmented as well.  After two years there is no way to remove transferred fat.  Your best options will be to smooth the contour of this area and help it blend with the surrounding tissue.  An in person consultation would be necessary to determine which options might work best for you.  It is likely that fillers will be at least part of the solution, as you have been advised.

Best of luck!

Am I a Candidate For Fat Transfer in One Breast Only? I Have Uneven Breasts and Already Had Encapsulated Implants Removed.

I am 42 5'2" & about 130 pounds. I had breast implants 20 yrs ago. They encapsulated and caused me lots of complications. I got them replaced & removed 4 years later. I now have uneven breast - 1 A cup & 1 AA cup & they are different shapes now. My question is -since Im not a candidate for implants, would you recommend fat grafting for me if I only want to inject fat into the smaller breast (AA) so that it can be the same size & shape as the (A) cup? How much fat would I need? thanks!

A: Fat grafting or small volume correction of breast asymmmetry

It is possible that fat grafting may be an option for you especially if you are looking for a relatively minor correction of asymmetry.  There are new options available for those patients who have had difficult times with capsular contracture.  A discussion with your plastic surgeon is in order.
