Day 1: Fraxel Restore Dual set on 1550 NM 70 milajoules level 7 4 passes on each cheek 1 hour with numbing cream and no pain medicine. First pass was about a 2-3 on a pain scale 1-10, by the 4th pass I was at a 5. All four passes took no more than ten minutes. Moisturizer and sunblock applied, left with a big floppy hat and a sunburn feeling. Day 2: Swollen especially around eyes, still... more
I had Fraxel Laser treatment for Rosacea with fabulous results. Not only did the laser treatment help the redness but also there was an added benefit of smoother more toned facial skin. I constantly get comments on how glowing and young looking my skin appears. Many people are shocked that I am 52 claiming I look 10 years younger. I would highly recommend the Fraxel Laser and Dr. Brian Howard... more
I had my first Fraxel Dual laser performed yesterday by my dermatologist. I am 41 years old and have been plagued by acne my whole adult life. I had tried topical creams and antibiotics, but finally was prescribed spironolactin, as it appears that my acne is hormone-related. The spironolactin at 100mg per day has finally gotten my acne under control, but I have been left with slight... more
I had fraxel at noon today. After reading some of these reviews I had become frightened that fraxel would be too painful to tolerate. Not the case at all. I tolerated the 30 minutes of treatment easily and could have handled a longer session. My face felt very hot and... more
I had Fraxel on my nose two months ago to reduce pores. My nose was swollen and red for a couple of days. Soon after, a tiny bump or ridge starting appearing across my nose. It may be the result of skin tightening that shows the underlying tissue. Pores are better and I will go back for another treatment. But I really want to know what caused the ridge and if it is going to become more... more
My dermatologist recommended Fraxel to remove my age spots (melasma) when hydroquinone did not work. Fraxel gave me a very modest improvement, not worth the money and certainly no better than dermabrasion. I had five treatments and there was very little discomfort. I think Fraxel might work for some skin issues but it was not helpful to me. more
Some pros - smaller pores, rolling scars appear less deep (but in no means are gone). Please do not believe that this laser is risk free! I had my last one (out of 5) done over six months ago still desperately trying to help cystic acne scars on chin. Dr used a deep setting for those and a lesser setting for the rest of my face to eliminate some traces of hyperpigmentation (melasma). Now, I... more
