I got a rhinoplasty a month ago and there is a huge indention in the nostril base on the left side. It makes my profile from the left look much worse than the right... Even if the doctor 'smooths it out,' how will this raise the indention? He almost gets offended when I ask about it. Has anyone ever seen this? I completely did not expect this. Trent
Though it is difficult to tell from your photos and without knowing the intraoperative details of your surgeon, it appears that the indentation you are seeing is a result of scarring from an open rhinoplasty. Your nose and scars will continue to change and improve a significant amount over the next year, thus it is too early for any type of revisionary or corrective procedures. If, however, after a year you are still unsatisfied, you may consider scar revision, dermal fillers, or even micro fat grafting to fill out the indentation. In the meantime, relax and try to be patient.

I have a hook nose(kinda) with a small bump and a droppy tip My question is if the bump is rasped or taken down will the tip raise up or somewhat appear more narrow?
It looks like you have a small dorsal hump that would be easily removed with rasps or osteotomes (chisels). A minimal amount of tip rotation could occur, but the hump is isolated and so I would expect a minimal effect on tip position. It is impossible to judge the possible need for nasal bones infracture without more photos. A small degree of tip rotation might be beneficial.
I had rhinoplasty about two months ago and I now have a bony ridge laterally to my left eye. It is very prominent and is not present on the right. I can not find any pictures showing this deformity. Thank you.
Pictures would certainly help here.
By two months the results should be reaching final form. A bony defect such as an asymmetric ridge may need to be revised. Except for the case of an obvious and debilitating deformity I would wait 6 months for scar maturation before considering a revision.
