Getting Restalyne 1ML on Lips Done for the First Time & Flying out in 5 Days

Hi im just getting restalyne done for the first time, Just one ML and im just wandering if i will be okay to travel internationally in five days? Im slightly concerned about bruising and swelling, how long does this usually take ? Also, im hoping 1ml is enough for bigger and fuller lips, is this the casE? Thankyou

A: Restylane and travel

You can travel after your facial filler. The only limitation would be the day of or within 48 hrs. Usually I tell people there will be a erythema right after the injection. It is cleared by the next day. Ice that night , no makeup . Keep your face clean, and by the next day you should be ready to get out and about. Any lumpy bumpy feelings can be massaged but clear that with the injector. Also no drinking through a straw the first 48hrs. That suction affect can displace the filler .  Good Luck.

Does Restylane Injections Hurt?

I am only 27 and get a fair amount of sleep but my dark circles have become developed into slight hollowness. I have a great fear of needles going in me that I don't even have my ears pierced. Can you be put to sleep while getting or can you close your eyes while they are injecting near your eyes?

A: The hurt of restylane inections

It is difficult to treat a patient with a real, genuine needle phobia with injectable fillers.  Of course, you could have sedation but as stated by others, the cost of this could be prohibitive.  But if your fear is really of the pain more than of the needle, there are numerous techniques that can be employed to make this injection tolerable.  Certainly, I see no reason why you could not close your eyes during this treatment.   Do mention your fears to your treating physician and he/she will likely go out of his way to make you comfortable.

Will Restylane Help Hereditary Dark Circles?

I'm a 17 year old male fitness model, and was was considering having restylane injected into the tear trough area for my hereditary dark circles. I believe I have thick skin, as I do not have any visible varicose veins under my eyes; just a dark tint and a moderately defined depression in the tear through area which leaves me looking tired.

A: Fillers

The products such as Restylane and Juvederm are fillers and not intended to treat dark circles under the eyes.  There is a better product for this purpose called Tenamine.
