I had liposcultpure on my armpit pads 4 days ago. One side looks fantastic and one looks exactly the same as before the procedure. Is this normal?
It is still way too early to assess the results of your procedure. Asymmetry soon after liposculpture is expected and should not be a cause of concern. Try to be patient and not inspect the areas too closely or too often. I agree that you should follow the advice of your surgeon and give yourself time to heal. good luck!
I had liposculpture on outer+inner thighs, hips, and arms one week ago. On Day 1 the thighs looked good, 7 days later, I can see the fat coming back to the areas which it was removed from (making me look pear-shaped, where as on Day 1 I had no bulges out of my thighs) Could this be water-retention? I've had enough time to let the swelling subside. Is it normal to see better results on days 1 and 2 than days 7 and 8? Am I looking at having a 2nd procedure?
the results you report are not unusual and certainly does not mean that the fat that was removed is returning. Almost certainly, this represents postop edema which comes and goes after surgery. Please try to be patient!
i am 2wks post lipo I had about 3.5 quarts of fat removed from my waist, love handles,lower/upper abdomen. I had 5 liters of liquid injected into me that day. I weigh a lil over my weight before the procedure. I am still swollen and lumpy specially int he abdomen area. I am very concerned about those bulges not shrinking down. i don't look much different than prior to the surgery. i have the same width and my love handles still look a lil aquared like before. help what should i expect at 2wks
I think that expectations of meaningful weight loss after liposculpture is the greatest misunderstanding for those who are considering having the procedure. The procedure is designed to improve body contour, not to provide weight loss, and patients considering having this procedure should do so with the right goal in mind. But it is still early after your procedure. I hope that you attain the results you are seeking.
