85 years old-had laser facial surgery. 7 days post, she went to the ER for incredible pain, itching and burning with little red dots over most of her cheek areas. The MD put her on clindamycin because he thought she may be developing impetigo. Went to see her and it appeared to me that she was having an allergic reaction. She was putting Skinmedica rejuvenation ceramide on her face.I immediately told her to stop the cream and purchased ACuahor. She is better.Did she damage her skin w/ this cream
This does not sound like a normal postop course. It sounds like you handled this appropriately. Fortunately, it is likely that there will not be any long term adverse outcome.
I had laser resurfacing 4 days ago and apart from the pain that i have this morning i woke up with what i believe is a rash all over my chin and cheeks , im so itchy but at the same time Im in pain and very red, hot and swollen. Is this normal?? , I dont know what to do :( ....Please help !!!!! thanks
I agree with the last doctor who answered. A rash after laser resurfacing is not "normal" and may be due to a variety of causes. Please contact your treating physician.
Brusing Under Eye Month After Laser Resurfacing Normal or Not?
Hard to say without seeing photos. But quite probably, this will fall in the range of normal. Please try to give it at least another few weeks before becoming concerned.
