I had restylane the last November. The Dr. told me I only need one syringe -$700. I did not had pain, but after a week, my nasolabial area is looking almost the same as before. I when back to see my doctor and he told I need one more syringe. I am feeling very upset because I don’t know if he is telling me the true or not. I also had it on my on my marionette lines and after that he told me that it doesn’t work there. Now he thinks I should have radiesse. I should get a new doctor???
Whether you need more or not depends only on you.If after the injection you are happy with the amount and the look then you do not need more restylene. However it will diminish in time and more will need to be added.
I had a syringe of Restylane injected by my Dr. into a dent in my cheek from a cyst. I realize now that it was not a good candatite for Restalyne as the scar was deep and narrow - not shallow and smooth. It made the dent open up and spread out. I have a sort of swelled area or egg shape under the injected site - it's not actual swelling as the injection was 1 month ago - more like a ball of Restylane that is under the skin. This has caused some major facial asymmetry when will it go away?
This should resolve ver several months.to get it to gone down quicker one can inject Hyaluronidase to get it to soften.Releasing the base of the scar with a sterile needle and then massaging it may also help.
I had restylane injected into my smile lines around my mouth yesterday. Looked great at first, but about 3hrs after injection one side of mouth started to swell and I felt a hard lump about size of fingertip on that side. Woke up VERY swollen on one side (other side minimally swollen) and mouth is being pulled into frown on that side only. I look like I have walnuts in my mouth. Is this sort of swelling normal? I saw a reputable Derm who I feel very confident in. Bruising is minimal.
This probably is a small hematoma after the injection.Sometimes a small vein is nicked and you get a little bleeding but it will go down.Ice the first 4 days will help then massage and maybe warm compresses.
