I am 24. My frown lines are very deep especially for my age. I had botox twice. I am not able to frown, however, I have not seen a difference in my frown lines. My dermatologist did not want to give me more than 20 units. Do I just need more Botox or another treatment? I have had the lines Since I was 22.
Simce the muscles are no loger allowing you to frown the botox was successful and adding more will not help so now you can do a peel or laser or fat whatever to fill in the depression or resurface to diminish the wrinkles.
I'm interested in getting botox to lower my eyebrows, however I was wondering if this procedure would affect how wide I can open my eyes?
This can be done.It should not effect the ability to open your eyes but the botox can migrate and cause soem droopy eyelids but this is not usual.
Are there studies that show Botox will prevent deep wrinkles if patients start using it sooner?
My clinical experience has demonstrated that Botox (all nueromodulators) do help to prevent fine lines and wrinkles over time -- If you relax the muscles, they don't have the opportunity to contract and affect the skin surface --
Several years ago there was an interesting study in a Plastics journal that showed photos of one identical twin set - one twin had used Botox regularly for years, and the other twin had never used it. There was a remarkable difference between the two pictures.
