What is the Best Implant Position for Tuberous Breast? (photo)

I am 27 yrs old & a 36B. I have 1 son who I nursed. I am very athlethic. My PS says that I have tuberous breast & he will have to give me a mastopexy/augmentation. What is the best placement for the implant? Submuscular or subglandular? He says that the subglandular is better considering my constriction but I have heard that submuscular is the placement of choice when it comes to longevity, future ptosis and rippling/contracture. I want to go up to a full C/small D.

I do not see a tuberous breast but rather a ptotic(droopy) one.   I agree that you will require a lift to achieve optimal results however I do not believe that a breast implant should ever be placed above the muscle.  The risk for long term problems with this method is much greater and I do not believe surgeons who specialize in augmentations would do that.  Insist on going submuscular.

Is It Safe to Have a Full Tummy Tuck Combined with Lipo of the Full Back Within a Week of Each Other?

the surgeon i am considering suggested that iam able to preform my procedures within a week of each other

I routinely do entire back liposuction in conjunction with a full abdominoplasty.  This saves an extra anesthetic and prolonged recovery period.  If the plan is for you to have it done within a week I see no reason(unless there are state medical guidelines) as to why you could not do it all at once.

Is it Safe to Go Back on Birth Control Before Mommy Makeover?

I am due in March and have scheduled a mommy makeover in August. Breast lift, tummy tuck, lipo, and possibly implants. Is it safe to go back on birth control before such a major surgery? Is there any I should avoid? I would like to try something that is long term such as the Mirena IUD but I am concerned about blood cloths

There are a lot of concerns regarding birth control and general anesthesia in regards to blood clots. Certainly, we know that women over the age of 35 and particularly smokers who take oral contraceptive pills have a higher rate of deep vein thromboses. The safest answer is to avoid oral contraceptives altogether. As for IUD devices, this is a question for you OB/Gyn. On another note, scheduling a mommy-makeover 5 months after your childbirth seems a bit rushed. Particularly any breast surgery if you plan on breastfeeding at all. I recommend waiting at least a year and attempting to achieve your prepregnancy weight before any contouring surgery for the best results.
