Is Evolence Recommended for Filling Under Eye Hollows?

I heard that Evolence lasts longer, but it can cause lumps that can not be dissolved like HA fillers can. If this filler is not recommended, what would be a good filler to use to fill under eye hollows?

A: You could use Evolence, but Restylane is a better choice

Evolence is a great filler but it can't be dissolved with hyaluronidase. It also sets up very quickly and can be nodular if not massaged right away. Restylane has been used in the eye area for a while with a very good safety record. This is my choice. Going through Realself, you will see that a majority of the problems with fillers is in this area (tear troughs, eyes). That is why you need to pick your physician carefully. The tendency is to fill with too much filler.

Is Evolence Better Than Juvederm?

There's all this hype about Evolence coming to the U.S. soon but I say what's the point in having another filler if it isn't better than what I already use... Is Evolence supposed to be better than Juvederm? Or does Evolence work in certain areas better than Juvederm? I normally get Juvederm in my lips and nasolabial folds and would really like to know how Evolence performs in those areas. Thanks!

A: Evolence should not be injected into lips

Evolence is a collagen filler that has been shown in studies to last up to 12 months. It's an alternative to Juvederm, not necessarily better. It has been promoted as being a more natural filler, and if that's important to you, then you can switch. I have been cautioned by the company to not use it in the lips because it can cause nodules. However, Evolence Breeze will be able to enhance the lips when it is FDA approved in about a year. It has also been shown to have less bruising and swelling than the HA's like Juvederm and Restylane, which is one advantage. A disadvantage is that it can sometimes be felt for a couple weeks.

Is Evolence FDA Approved?

When's this Evolence or Evolence Breeze supposed to be coming out? I heard it was almost FDA approved awhile ago, but I'm still not sure if it has been approved yet or not. Would someone clue me in?

A: Evolence is now available

It took a while after the FDA approval for the company to get it into the doctors hands.  It is now available to physicians which have been trained by the company.  Evolence Breeze will not be FDA approved for about 12 months I'm hearing from the company.
