I am not sure whether fillers or blepharoplasty would solve my problem. I am 29 years-old, i have always had a little puffiness around the eyes (probably due to water retention and allergies) and now i have these terrible tear throughs under my eyes, which make the puffiness look worse. Thank you very much in advance!
Well, the first thing I would find out if thisn is water retention or actual orbital fat. There is a subset of patients that have hereditary pseudoherniation of orbital fat. That just means that the fat is creeping out under the eyeball, something that happens with age. However, some patients can have it begin in their late twenties. If this is your case (fat), then I would have it removed surgically. This will give you a permamant treatment, which will be better and more economical over the long run. If the puffyness is due to water retention or allergies, then I would have the tear trough filled with a filler to camouflage the puffyness.
if one had round eyes and scleral show due to BOTH a recessed orbital rim area AND lax under eye, and wanted to get both procedures, which one should be done first generally to a produce a more predictable aesthetic variable?
I am assuming that you have a proptotic eye with a very recessed orbital rim. I recommend that you consult with an experienced oculoplastic surgeon. These are the surgeons most qualified to handle your eyelids. If you are in LA, UCLA has an excellent oculoplastic department.
I had lower Blepharoplasty done 2 weeks ago. Swelling still remains, which is normal. What I noticed recently is the exessive skin wrinkling on the lower lidsas the swelling goes down. What should I do to eliminate wrinkling? Could it become permanent?
It is still early in the recovery period and would ask that you allow everything to heal. Lower blepharoplasty is a good procedure to rejuvenate the lower eyelids, by removing the lower eyelid fat and some of the wrinkles. However, it will not remove all of the wrinkles.
