I am currently 23 years old. I have spent the past two years losing weight and have lost about 70 pounds. I am currently at my ideal weight. However I have very loose skin and stretch marks around the stomach and I wish to get a tummy tuck. I have done my research and know the risks associated with this surgery, but would a Plastic surgeon ever just deny someone due to age? I don't plan on having children for a very long time and would like to enjoy the results now instead of waiting years.
But yes, i would deny if a 15 year old want a tummy tuck, or an 80 year old with medical problems.
I'm 22, and I have two small boys. I have no plans of ever having more children, and have been considering a tummy tuck. What's the difference between a full tummy tuck and a mini one? I have wayyy too many stretch marks (you can't really see them too well in the pictures, but trust me..they are EVERYWHERE!) and this flab of skin that hangs over my jeans. I've done every exercise in the world trying to tighten it and it just wont go away. Do you think it is the right option for me?
you will have a nice result with a true tummy tuck with muscle tightening, which will give you a nice groove on your upper abdomen, and flatten the lower as well. don't consider a mini, will be a wrong choice.
Is it possible to get rid of the old scar during Tummy tuck? it runs 5" to 6" horizontally 1/2" to1" above my bellybutton. I have since had 2 baby girls both by c-section.
My question is: would it be possible to only have one scar with a tummy tuck to get rid of the old surgery scar and the loose pregnancy skin & stretchmarks and to tighten the tummy muscles backup.
I've always been into fitness and it's frustrating that no matter how much I do now my tummy always looks out of place with my body. I'm not too worried about the placement of the scar or being able to hide it, as I have always had one. I'm more concerned with the pregnancy muscles, skin and stretchmarks.Thank You!
from your picture, you won't be able to get rid of that scar, but when the skin is stretched, it will look better, and after the tummy tuck is healed (months later), you can get a scar revision. Don't get scar revision along with tummy tuck at the same time.
