Which Breast Lifting Technique Would Be Most Suitable? (photo)

I have consulted a board certified PS & am in process of scheduling the surgery. Dr. has said for perkiest look go for a full lift w/ augmentation, and for a more natural look go with a donut lift w/ augmentation. Below are photos of the look I'm after & my own breasts. I know "perky" and "natural" have different definitions depending on each person. Which lifting would bring mine to the same position and shape? I know all breasts are different, I am simply going for that "style" in the pics

A: HArd to tell without examining you

The most important thing for you is to give you the shape and size you want while minimizing scarring.  Without examining you that may be hard.  You appear to have mild ptosis.  If that is the case I would prefer to do a periareolar lift and implants.  You don't need large implants and they will help to lift the nipple areolar complex.

If you feel that they are still too low and want them higher you can always have a vertical lift done, probably under local.  I think you are a good candidate for periareolar lift with implants, but again, alot depends on the actual exam and your numbers (measurements).  Good luck, Dr. Schuster from Boca Raton

Should I Avoid Second Hand Smoke in a Casino 5 Days Before Breast Lift?

I am having a bilateral mastopexy in 5 days. I would like to go out tomorrow night with my husband (possibly to a casino) and there will be smoking. Should I not go because of the second hand smoke? I am not smoking but I am worried about being around it before my surgery. Thank you so much.

A: Second hand smoke and breast lift

Altho the risk is small, I would try to avoid it if at all possible.  Even second hand smoke can lead to the complications of nicotine.  The last thing you need from a cosmetic surgery is the complication of nipple areolar vascular compromise or delayed would healing.  Enjoy dinner and dancing instead and let him go to the casino with his friends.  You'll always be able to go after you're healed looking great!  Good luck, Dr. Schuster from Boca Raton.

Can You Do a Breast Lift from the Arm Pit?

Can You Do a Breast Lift from the Arm Pit?

A: No

A breast lift requires incisions on the breast.  The most minimal is a circumareolar lift, next adding a vertical or "lollipop" scar and finally an "inverted T" scar including a portion along the crease beneath the breast.

None of these procedures can be accomplished through an axillary ("arm pit") approach.
