How Often is Vaser Liposuction Done with Only Local Anesthesia?

Can these procedures be done in the office or must I go to a surgery center?

A: Vaser Liposuction using Local Anesthesia

Theoretically, any procedure can be performed under local anesthesia. However, whether or not it's a good idea is another story.  If the area being treated is small then it can be done relatively comfortable for the patient.  If the area is large or multiple areas are being done, then sedation of some form is highly recommended.  Anesthesia really for the patients comfort. I like for my patients to be very comfortable and typically that involves anesthesia whether it be MAC or iv sedation.

A: Candidacy for VASER

Whether or not you are a candidate for surgery would need to be determined after a careful in-person exam...

With regard to the thyroid dysfunction, it is very important that you sort this out with your doctor prior to proceeding with any elective surgery.

Vaserlipo Before Ending 6 Weeks Pregnancy

i've decided to get vaserlipo in the philippines a month ago and even put in a downpayment. however i found out recently that i was 6 weeks pregnant. i know i'm not ready to have a baby yet and since it's illegal in the philippines, i have to wait to get back to my country to end the pregnancy. i still have 2 weeks til i get back. is it possible to still get vaserlipo of my whole abdomen and inner thighs before ending the pregnancy?

A: Do NOT have elective surgery while pregnant

Hi there-

You should allow for definitive resolution (both physical and emotional if necessary) of your unwanted pregnancy before proceeding with elective surgery, if for no other reason than because it may affect your outcome.
