I had a Mommy Makeover two weeks ago, including Mini TT, BAM, and lipo of inner and outer thighs. My doctor recommends I start taking 1000 IU/day of Vitamin E. After reading a few articles on the Internet, it seems that taking this much Vitmain E can actually do more harm than good. I already take a daily vitamin, which contains 30mg of E. Will it affect my results if I forgo the extra 1000 IU?
Before surgery, high doses of vitamin E are known to cause a higher risk for bruising and bleeding.
After breast augmentation surgery, some surgeons use Vitamin E to help reduce the chance of developing a hard breast with capsular contracture. But the scientific data on this is pretty sparse. I wouldn't be very upset if you decided to skip it.
I am having breast augmentation, a tummy tuck, and liposuction.
We take the drains out when they stop making large amounts of fluid. Typically, it takes 7-10 days for this to happen, and the drainage to decrease to 25-30 cc each per 24 hour time period. People who have lipo at the same time tend to make more fluid for longer.
All the best!
I've meet with 6 PS's & for the same procedure I was quoted 2 1/2-5 hours! How can it vary so much. Price varied from 10k to 18k. Is 2 1/2 reasonable for a MM? I just don't understand how it can be 2 1/2 hours difference for the same thing. 3 quotes were 2 1/2 hours, 1 was 4 1/2 &the other 2 was 5! What's a reasonable time for a MM? Does 2 1/2 hours sound right? Should I assume that the PS who does it quicker is more experienced? Both PS pictures looked great! I've narrowed it down to these 2.
I do a lot of mommy makeover procedures. But I don't think the 2.5 hr time that you were quoted for a full tummy tuck, augmentation and lift is at all realistic. Especially if you want the surgeon to do a careful, quality job.
5 hours is a much more realistic time quote.
