I had Liposculpture done 3 weeks ago today,I had inner+outer thigh as well as the knees. I can see a 40% improvement already however I am very concerned as on both my outer thighs I have two very big protruding bumps the size of a $5 note.I know my surgeon did a lot of work in those areas as that is where I carried the majority of fat. However these bumps are very noticable and I have had lymph drainage massage and have now started deep tissue massage almost everyday,is this normal? does it go?
Continue to wear your compression garmet and massage the area. These lumps and bumps should subside within the next 3 weeks or so.
can a cosmetic surgeon tell me more about the liposculpture option. Does it work on saddle bags (my main problem)?
Liposculpture, also known as body sculpting, body contouring, or simply liposuction, is a vague term given to the use of any type of liposuction to improve the overall contours of the body. Traditional liposuction techniques focused on general, non-specific fat removal with little attention paid to harmony and balance between regions of the body. With newer, innovative, and often more aggressive forms of liposuction, a curvier or more chiseled body can be produced while ensuring smooth, beautiful transitions between all body parts. Thus, liposculpture denotes the use of liposuction, with a touch of finesse, to not only remove fat from one part of the body, but to ensure that all regions of the newly sculpted body flow together beautifully and complement one another.
This is a tough one! I had Liposculpture on 4/20/09 on my whole stomach area, upper and lower abdomen and my lower and middle back. Afterwards I had synergy massages, but had to stop because I just found out I am 7 weeks pregnant!
This is a big surprise. I got pregnant just shortly after the procedure. Does the fluid still in my body or the short time period between surgery and conception have any negative effects to the fetus? I am doing my research, please help!
This is the reason that for the patient's safety, in our practice, all women of child bearing age receive a pregnancy test before surgery.
It is unlikely that the fluid that was used during the liposuction will impact your pregnancy. Inform your surgeon of your pregnancy and ask which medications were used in the tumescent fluid for completeness sake.
Congratulations on your pregnancy and your new baby!
