I was recently diagnosed with Sjorgen's Syndrome. Can I use Latisse for my thinning lashes without causing additional dryness?
The major "ingredient" of Latisse is latanoprost. This is a pro-inflammatory medication. Sjogrens is essentially an autoimmune condition and so it could worsen your dry eyes if the medication gets in your eyes. If you apply it strictly to your upper lashes you should be ok. I would wait on trying it until your Sjogrens is well controlled first.
Can a medical expert share more on the price of Latisse? What's the average cost?
Editor Note: See prices of Latisse near you
The cost varies from office to office - most offices run periodic specials and allergan sometimes offers specials as well. You can expect to pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $100-120 dollars for a box.
As your lashes fall out and regrow, will the Latisse be necessary or is the 12 weeks all that is ever required?
If you stop Latisse, your lashes will go back to what they were before you started using the product. Anecdotally, the product can be used less frequently to maintain the results.
