What Are the Recommended Fillers for a Chin Implant Surgery? How common is it for a patient to use their own fat as filler instead of readily available fillers in the market?

A: Fat is NOT useful for Chin augmentation

Fat transfer works well for soft tissue volumizing of the face, but not to build up the chin, per se. It would be short-lived, and assymetric. I use Radiesse and Sculptra to add volume to these areas, with or without Chin Implant. However, these fillers have not replaced the superior results seen w/ sugical implants in terms of aesthetic quality, longevity, and cost over time. Dr. G.

Jaw Implant For Round Face? I have a very round, "moon" face with little definition and bone structure. I was wondering if jaw implants would help give more definition and help give my lower face a more v-shape by giving my mandible angle more projection and then have the rest of my face taper in. If so, what type of jaw implant would you recommend and what is the average price range for such a surgery? Thanks!

How Long Does a Chin Implant Last? Does it need to be re-done after a certain number of years, like breast implants, or is it expected to last a lifetime?

A: Chin Implants are LONG Lasting

As stated by the other physicians, a solid silicone implant can last a lifetime. Solid silicone does not reabsorb and again, because it is solid, there is no concern with it leaking. Best of Luck, Dr. Clevens
