Options for Reconstruction After Bilateral Mastectomy?

After a bilateral mastectomy has been performed, what breast reconstruction options will provide the most natural look?

A: the most natural look reconstruction

TRAM Flap would be the most natural. But I believe that the persons life style has an impact . If you are an athlete than the use of core muscle can affect your quality of life. Being young vs old and mobility can impact where you want to be when it is all over. If down time matters than implant - expander reconstruction would be a good option.  After balancing the options, using the tissue vs implants , will have to be balance.

Having said that, TRAM flap will be the most natural feel and movement.

Will surgery be covered for post reconstruction complication (contracture) under Medicare?

A: coverage for reconstruction

Medicare does not give pre-authorization but Cancer reconstruction and revisions are usually covered.

I Have an Indention in my Tummy Tuck Scar Above my Pubic Area.

I'm very pleased with the results, but this looks odd. My doctor says that he can fix it at my six month checkup if it's not improved. Do you have any experience with this, and are the results of correcting good? Is this fix usually included in what I've already paid...which was on the high side for my area per my research.

A: Indentation and scar

Without a photo it is hard to be specific but indentations do accur . If there is an irregularity post op and still there it is usually covered. But the surgery center and anesthesia is not. That is the way I d it but it may be different in your area. Time is your advocate for improvement. 6 months sounds good.  Good Luck.
