What if my New Nipples Have Too Much Projection? Easy to Do or Leave Them Alone?

Nearing the end of a year long ordeal with breast cancer, reconstructive surgery. I have had the nipple reconst done approx 4 weeks ago and I am concerned that are going to have too much projection. I hate "headlights" so just a little projection or even texture is fine with me. My fault for not getting more information from my doc. What can I do without killing the tissue of the nipples to get them to shrink or reduce the projection. I use 4x4 gauze pads with holes in them for protection.

A: too much nipple

This is easy to correct and since you are only a month out I would leave it alone for now.To make them smaller is an easy office procedure. They will come down.

How Do I Choose Ideal CC Amount for Breast Reconstruction?

I had a skin sparing BM. I want full C'c. My TE's are filled to 575cc's now. I need 100 over what ever size I pick. I'm trying to decide between 550 or 600. I am looking into allergan silicone style 45 or the 20. I don't want an unnatural look, or a shelf at the top of the breasts.I do want some cleavage. My shoulders do curve forward due to bad posture. I'm 49, 120 and 5'6". My ribs are 32" although I wear a 36" bra. My te's are 133fx-12-t-450. What would be the best cc amt and profile for me?

A: right size

I really feel when you get to that size going a little bigger is better.most women will regret not going a little bigger and the difference at that size really is minimal so I wqould go bigger.

Should Reconstruction Expanders Move Under the Skin?

I have had my tissue expanders in place since bilateral mastectomy 11/15/10. I stopped getting fills after December 20th so I could heal from my pain, get back to work full time, and spend time with my family. I have noticed that my left implant moves all around under my skin, but the right stays fixed in place and tends to cause much more discomfort, and cramps during times of over-activity with my arms. Is this normal?

A: moving expander

This probably may be do to some fluid buildup in the side that moves. This is not unusual or cause for alarm.
