I think the answers that have been given here are on target. The most important thing is the style of your surgeon. Some like to pull the skin quite tight to ensure a lasting result. My preference is to redrape rather than pull. It may seem like a semantic difference, but by redraping my goal is to make the skin firm in the way that it naturally wants to be. Pulling is too aggressive in my opinion. Firm, not tight, gets the best results, in my humble opinion.

Be sure to look at many before and after photos of each surgeon you visit. And always make sure he or she is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
