I had my top lip filled with Perlane yesterday afternoon and it looked great right after. Later in the evening it got much larger and now I'm wondering if it will go back down to how it looked immediately after it was injected or not?
You are experiencing the normal healing process of injection/swelling/resolution. Best to discuss with your chosen injecting doc.
Should I consider surgery as well as filler options for enhancing my upper lip? How do I choose the right doctor for either option?
Avoid implants and find a plastic and reconstructive surgeon that can explain the potential complications of interventions such as implants and permanent injectables that have ruined many patients lives. My recommendations are stick to fat or a hyaluronic acid based filler- no implants!

I have a very small mouth and virtualy no top lip, I have been advised that a combination of filler and botox, filler for age lines and a little fulness to top lip and botox to slightly turn up edge of lip to look more full without plumping lip to look more natural, is this the best treatment as I want it to look as if i have more top lip without being to obviouse to others. Advised that only 4 units of botox required.
I recommend only HA filler such as Juvederm. Botox will be short lived in the lip and is not usually necessary. A plastic and reconstructive surgeon that understands anatomy and aesthetics should deliver the results that you are after.
All the best,
