The target area is upper lip and underarm. Light sheer diode or Gentlelase Alexandrite? Thank you
It is difficult to decide the best laser hair removal device without actually seeing your skin. However, with the description of your skin and hair type, the safest and effective laser would be an NdYag laser, such as Candela GentleYag. Good luck!
Hello, It's been 2 and a half months after I got burn from FPL (fluorescent pulse light) for hair removal (on my first visit). My burns didn't blister and I let the scab to heal. I am currently taking betnovate, jalplast and elidel, for 15 days. I am also using a regenaration ointment, plus I rub the white spots with aloe and ginger. Do you think there is a possibility that the white spots will regiment over time? How long does it usually take to heal?
It is extremely unfortunate that this occurred to your as a result of cosmetic procedure. Hypopigmentation after IPL treatment is rare. This side effect is very frustrating and its resolution is unfortunately unpredictable. Majority of the time, the pigmentation does even out but it may take some time. For some people it is months and others, years. For now, your topical treatment is fine. You may want to consider discussing your treatment options with your laser practitioner. These options are not many, but microneedling, non-ablative fractional laser, excimer lasers may help with hypopigmentation. However, I would advice conservative approach and test spots prior to full treatments. On the other hand, you may choose to let the time heal the skin naturally and use sunless tanners to camouflage the discolorations meanwhile. Also, do not repeat the laser hair removal treatments with the same laser/light (IPL), you are not a good candidate with this laser. You may consider other lasers in the future, such as diode or NdYag lasers, but make sure you do test spots first. Good luck.
I want to remove MY face hair permanently . my face color is LIGHT Brown and I Have tendency to spot and freckle on my face . can it cause for moor pigmentation ? what is the most safe procedure to do so except epilation ? does removing hair from back and bally with HSR IS RISKY ? IS THE HAIR CAN GROW TOO BE HARDER AND thicker ? maybe because of the shaving ?
If you have Light Brown Skin, you are still a great candidate for laser hair removal as long as you have dark hairs. However, you do have to be careful which type of laser being used on your skin or you may run a risk of dark discolorations. Likely the best laser to use to remove your hair in your skin type is NdYag laser. It is safe for your skin type and will have excellent efficacy. If appropriate energies are used, then you should not run into problems of hair growth stimulation. It is ideal that you obtain consultation and laser hair removal by physician that has experience with you skin type.
FYI - shaving does not stimulate heavier or thicker hair growth.
Take care.
