Total FX Effective for Lines in Mouth Area?

I am considering getting the Total FX (Active FX/Deep FX) treatment. My concerns are not discoloration nor scars. I have deep lines around my mouth and was wondering if there was a great improvement in those areas as promised?

A: Total FX for deep wrinkles

Total FX can be very effective for deep wrinkles around the mouth.  Sometimes more than one treatment is needed.  Additionally, combination treatments with botox and fillers may be utilized for best results.  Be sure to see a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for consultation.

Does Active FX Do Anything to Tighten Jowls or Neck?

I'm not looking for facelift-type results, but I would like to have a little less sagging at the jawline and directly under the chin. I had a mini-lift by a reputable doctor, but the results were mini also. Will Active FX help?

A: Active FX for neck and jowls

Activ Fx and its companion laser, Deep Fx are fractional CO2 lasers, and are excellent tighteners for sun damaged skin of the neck, face and chest. However they do not adress excess facial and neck fat, so there will not be sufficient tightening in overwieght patients unless done following liposuction.

Combining Active FX, IPL, Fillers and Chemical Peel?

Is it advisable to do Active FX, IPL, fillers and a Chemical peel all on the same day. This is the suggestion of my doctor.

Is it expensive and redundant? Wouldn't down time be very painful and prolonged?

A: Too much at once?

ActivFX, chemical peel and Ipl all have similar effects on the skin, albeit at somewhat differnt depths and in different ways. Used in the same area at the same time it would seem to be redundant. Are you certain your doctor intends to apply them in the same areas sequentially? Sometimies we do three different resurfacing techniques at the same time, but in different areas - such as ActivFx on the cheeks, chemical peel on the lip and IPL on the forehead. Fillers can be done at the same time as a resurfacing procedure, either before of after.
