How else to Restore Volume to Face if Too Skinny for a Fat Transfer?

As I see, fat autograft seems an effective measure to restore the volume of the face, yet if I do not have enough fat for extraction, are there any other options since I think there are limitations (or too costly) for fillers for large volume restoration.

A: Scupltra is Ideal for Restoring Facial Volume

This is a question I hear often in my practice.  As a general rule of thumb, I prefer to use Sculptra or injectable fillers for the cheeks and restoring volume in the facebecause they are predictable in terms of duration and placement. With Sculptra and you can fill the area gradually- over time- for a softer, more natural look.  Best of luck, Dr. Clevens

Fat Transfer to the Cheeks Longevity?

I have lost a lot of volume in the buccal area, below my cheekbones--Abraham Lincoln style. Does fat transfer last well in this area?

A: Fat Transfer can be Unpredictable

This is a question I hear often in my practice.  As a general rule of thumb, fat is unpredictable and your body may choose to reabsorb it within 3 months time.   I prefer to use Sculptra or injectable fillers for the cheeks because they are predictable in terms of duration and placement. Fat also requires harvesting and sedation.  With Sculptra and you can fill the area gradually- over time- for a softer, more natural look.  Best of luck, Dr. Clevens

Fat Transfer Vs Sculptra for Cheeks?

Does Fat Transfer work better for small loss of volume in cheeks for a 44 year old or Sculptra injections?

A: Fat vs Sculptra

This is a question I hear often in my practice.  As a general rule of thumb, I prefer to use Sculptra or injectable fillers because they are predictable in terms of duration and placement. Fat can be unpredictable and it requires harvesting and sedation.  With Sculptra and you can fill the area gradually- over time- for a softer, more natural look.  Best of luck, Dr. Clevens
