A mini lift sounds sooo much more appealing to me. less expensive...less invasive...can get rid of my sagging skin and jowls. why would i opt to get full facelift surgery?
A mini face lift may be suitable for younger patients with less skin. The less extensive the procedure generally corresponds to less bruising and recovery. However, if you do decide to have a Short scar face lift or MAC lift or Mini face lift, make sure you visit with a board certified plastic surgeon capable of addressing the deep layer or SMAS and not just tightening the skin to avoid the wind-swept look achieved at some of the quick cosmetic centers.
i found the descriptions of mini lift procedure fit my need for moderate facelifting. can a doctor offer a price or cost range for the mini face lifting surgery?
The price for this type of procedure varies significantly depending upon where in the country you are located. The price in our part of Florida I've seen ranges from around 5500 to 7500 dollars. Our price including anesthesia, facility and professional fees is around 6550. I hope this information helps.
I realize that many of the doctors here hold the heavily advertised mini facelifts in low regard, and I'm not referring to them specifically. I am thinking about a patient that is just starting to age who nevertheless wants more lifting and tucking than injectables can provide.
Are facelifts something that is so involved that even if there is less to do on a patient that is just starting to show age than a more advanced case, the price remains the same?
Hi there-
Within any particular practice, the costs associated with a procedure will depend on the expenses your chosen surgeon incurs in doing the procedure, as well as on the amount of the surgeon's time the procedure requires.
Because mini-facelift procedures generally take less time and require fewer resources (instruments, suture material, etc...) than larger facelift procedures, the costs for this procedure will indeed often be lower.
It is important to realize, however, that even the best mini-facelift will not approximate the improvement possible with a well done facelift. As I often tell my patients, mini-facelift, mini-result.
