Is IPL Laser Treatment for Breast Enlargement Effective?

I'm considering having ipl laser treatments for a breast enlargement. Research has shown that it increases up to 2 cup sizes only. Is this procedure effective? And what are the side effects?

A: Laser and Light Treatments do NOT increase Breast Size

Hi there-

You need to run as fast as you can from whoever told you this. I'm not sure what "research" you are referring to, but it's immaterial- this is silly.

Vi Peel Vs IPL for Face?

How does a Vi Peel compare to IPL treatment on the face?

A: ViPeel vs. IPL

Hi there-

The IPL is an Intense Pulse Light that is used to treat both vascular and hyperpigmented lesions.

IPL involves little to no downtime, areas treated for vessels will only be red the day of treatment and hyperpigmented lesions will become darker and flake off after about 10 days.

While the Vi peel will treat hyperpigmentation it will have no effect on vascular lesions.

Since the Vi peel is a chemical peel it will improve the overall tone and texture of the skin, soften fine lines, decrease pore size and acne conditions and lighten pigmentation.

The Vi peel also involves about 3 days of excessive peeling and mild to moderate redness that starts about 48 hours after having the peel.

Is It Safe to Get IPL Treatments when Pregnant?

I just found out that I'm about 5 to 6 weeks pregnant. I have an IPL session scheduled, for my face, in 2 weeks. I am mainly having it done for sun damage and I've never had this done before. Can/should I still have this procedure done?

A: IPL is best deferred until after pregnancy

Hi there-

I don't think most physicians believe that the IPL will put you or your baby at risk, but most would agree that the hormones of pregnancy DO alter the way your skin will respond to the light of the IPL, making the outcome a bit unpredictable.

Better to wait until after you deliver.
