I went to the Northpark mall and this register nurse who worked at a spa (in the mall) recommended for me to get artefill on the undereyes. Do you agree artefill under the eyes. She said the "artefill can lasted to five years". She claims nurses are be licensed to perform restylane, botox, radiesse. artefill, and other injections. So what are ya'll opinions?
I do use Artefill in the tear troughs and have had very good results. The likelihood of lumps and bumps has little to do with the product and a lot to do with the technique. Tear troughs can be tricky to get right, so I always start with a temporary filler--usually Juvederm--to both let the patient "try it on for size" so to speak, but also to let me see how much volume is required to avoid undercorrecting or overcorrecting the area.
If the patient and I like the result, we can proceed with Artefill once the Juvederm goes away. For those who want to avoid the nuisance and recurring expense of temporary fillers, this can be a nice way to go.

I hear so many costs per syringe starting at $600 for 2 syringes. The going price here by a plastic surgeon is $1000 per syringe with the 3rd one free. What's with all these cheap prices I read?
With all due respect to Dr. Hansen's comment, Artefill hasn't been available in the 0.4cc size for well over a year. If someone's offering a 0.4cc syringe, it's either old (expired) stock, not the real thing, or has been otherwise unofficially altered.
With only the 0.8cc syringe available, most patients will require 1 to 2 syringes of Artefill for a first treatment and then another 1 (or maybe 2) syringes for a second treatment a couple months later to finalize the look. And although it's about 2 to 3 times more expensive initially than temporary fillers, Artefill quickly comes out ahead cost-wise within about two to three years since it persists while the other all go away.

1)will artefill migrate 2)what happen to artefill after 20,30...years in our nose 3)side effects of artefill and way to fixed it 4)how to remove artefill 5)should i have to reinject it again after years 6)any precaution i should take before have artefill injection for my nose 7)will laser and heat(cosmetic lasering) effect artefill , if yes , how it change 8)would artefill change it's shape if i accidentally knock my nose thanks doc for your answering ^^
1) Artefill will not migrate.
2) In the majority of patients--like anything else--results should be stable over decades. Even surgical rhinoplasty carries with it risks of long-term changes to the nose. This is why both procedures need to be done with great care and judgment.
3) Side effects are similar to other fillers: injection-site infection, lumps, bumps, granulomas, poor aesthetic result, etc. Each has its own solution.
4) The involved tissue could be excised if needed.
5) No.
6) Make sure the person injecting is also trained and experienced in doing surgical rhinoplasty, too.
7) No.
8) No.
Hope this helps,
